Information for parents who have children due to start Nursery:

Children are eligible to start Nursery the term after they turn 3 years old, if you are interested in your child attending either the morning or afternoon session then please come into school to collect an application form and bring along your child’s original birth certificate and 2 utility bills at your current address which needs to be dated within the last 3 months.

Please be advised that entry into the nursery does not give automatic entry into main school. A new application will need to be made on the Redbridge Local Authority admissions website.

All families with a 3 to 4 year old child will be eligible for the universal offer of free early education of up to 15 hours a week during term time (5 mornings or 5 afternoons), However, funding changes mean that some families may now be entitled to an additional 570 hours of childcare per year, which is equal to an extra 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year. If you access these hours please understand that you will need to make additional provision for the school holiday periods.

The 30 hour free childcare entitlement is available to working families who meet the eligibility criteria. To apply or reconfirm your eligibility, go to: www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare

Parents and Carers can check eligibility at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. The following helplines may also assist you I-IMRC 0300 123 4097/Redbridge FIND 0800 587 7500.

If you are not eligible for 30 hour funding, you can still access the provision at an additional cost.

Nursery costs:

All full-time children will need to access the ‘Lunch Club’ and this is not funded by the Government and therefore there will be a charge of £6.00 per day, £30 per week, to cover additional lunchtime supervision. This charge covers the adult support provided to the children during the lunch hour.

Children are welcome to bring in a healthy packed lunch from home or they can pay an additional cost of £2.51 and order a meal via ISS (school caterers). Lunch is not covered in the £6 daily charge.

Parents of full-time children, without an eligible a 30-hour code, will be charged a daily rate of £25.

If your child is absent for any reason and you are accessing a 30-hour place, you will still need to pay your monthly fee and lunch club fee in full. If you wish to discontinue the use of our Nursery, you must write to us, giving us a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice. You will be charged for these 4 weeks.
